Terms of Use

PureGlow, operated by Hayder Zalazil. Last updated 2026-09-25.

Please read section 14. It says that any dispute between us is settled by individual arbitration, not in court and not as part of a class action. You can opt out of that within 30 days of first agreeing to these Terms.

1. This agreement

These Terms are an agreement between you and Hayder Zalazil ("we", "us") for the PureGlow app and the service behind it. You accept them by tapping "I agree" in the app, or by using PureGlow. If you do not agree, do not use it. Our Privacy Notice and Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explain what we collect and why.

2. Who can use PureGlow

You must be 18 or older, and PureGlow is offered for use in the United States. Use it only for your own face: never photograph or scan anybody else with it. Scanning another person would collect their face data without their agreement, which you may not do.

3. What PureGlow is, and is not

PureGlow scores how your skin looks from photographs you take, using a third-party AI service run by Anthropic, PBC, and suggests a routine of widely available skincare products.

It is not medical advice and not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition. If something about your skin concerns you, see a doctor or a dermatologist.

Scores are estimates made by AI from photographs. They vary with light, camera and angle, and they can be wrong. We do not promise any result from following a routine.

We do not sell any product, and we earn nothing from the products we suggest. Prices shown are typical US prices and are not tracked live. Read every product's label and warnings, patch test before first use, and stop using anything that irritates your skin. If you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant or breastfeeding, have a skin condition, or take medication, check with a doctor before starting any routine: some ingredients, such as retinoids, are not recommended for everyone.

4. Your photographs and your information

Your photographs stay yours. You give us permission to use them only to provide PureGlow to you: to send them to our AI provider to be scored, and to show you your progress. We do not use them to train AI, we do not sell them, and our Privacy Notice explains exactly what happens to them.

Signing in with Apple is optional. Keep your phone secure: anybody who can open PureGlow on it can see your photographs and your program.

5. Subscriptions

Some of PureGlow needs a paid subscription, bought through Apple's App Store. Apple takes the payment, and Apple's terms apply to it. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price shown when you subscribed or as later notified, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can cancel at any time in your Apple account's subscription settings; deleting the app does not cancel it. If a free trial is offered, it becomes a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel before then. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies.

6. Using PureGlow fairly

Do not: use PureGlow for anybody's face but your own; use it for anything unlawful; copy, modify or reverse engineer it, except where the law gives you the right to; try to get at the prompts, keys or systems behind it; use automated means to access it; get around its limits, such as the one scan a week; or interfere with it or with anybody else's use of it.

7. Our rights, and your license

PureGlow - the app, its design, its text and the way it presents scores and routines - belongs to us or to those who license it to us. We give you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as allowed by Apple's Usage Rules, including by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.

8. Changes

We may change PureGlow or stop offering parts of it. If we change these Terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app and ask you to agree again before you next scan; the date at the top always shows the latest version. A change to section 14 never applies to a dispute that arose before it.

9. Ending this agreement

You can stop using PureGlow at any time, and delete everything from Settings. We may suspend or end your use of PureGlow if you break these Terms. Sections 3, 4, 7 and 10 to 16 continue after this agreement ends.

10. No warranties

PureGlow is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant the accuracy of any score or that PureGlow will be uninterrupted or free of errors.

11. Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from PureGlow or these Terms. Our total liability for all claims about PureGlow is limited to the greater of what you paid for PureGlow in the 12 months before the claim arose and 50 US dollars. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited - such as for fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct, for personal injury where the law forbids it, or under any consumer or privacy law that cannot be waived. Where a law of your state does not allow part of sections 10 or 11, that part does not apply to you, and the rest does.

12. Indemnity

If you use PureGlow on anybody else's face, or break these Terms or the law in using it, and a claim is made against us because of it, you will cover our reasonable costs of that claim, including legal fees.

13. Apple

You and we both acknowledge that:

Questions, complaints and claims about PureGlow go to us: Hayder Zalazil, France, contact@purglows.com.

14. Settling disputes: individual arbitration

Talk to us first. Before starting any claim, you or we must send the other a written notice describing the dispute and what would resolve it - to contact@purglows.com, or to the email address or install we know you by - and both of us must try in good faith to settle it for 60 days.

Arbitration. If it is not settled, any dispute arising from or relating to PureGlow or these Terms will be resolved by binding arbitration between you and us individually, administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, and where 25 or more similar claims are filed, its Mass Arbitration Supplementary Rules. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. A hearing, if there is one, takes place by video or in the county where you live. We will pay the arbitration fees those rules assign to a business, and any filing fee beyond what you would pay to start a case in court. The arbitrator may award you anything a court could award you individually.

Small claims. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court, if it qualifies.

No class actions, no jury. You and we each give up the right to a jury trial and the right to bring or take part in a class, collective or representative action. A court, not an arbitrator, decides whether this paragraph is enforceable; if it is not enforceable for a claim, that claim goes to a court and not to class arbitration. A claim for public injunctive relief goes to a court, after any individual claims in the same case have been arbitrated.

Opting out. You can opt out of this section within 30 days of first agreeing to these Terms by emailing contact@purglows.com with your name and the words "arbitration opt-out". Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, and by the Federal Arbitration Act for section 14. That choice does not take away any protection the consumer laws of the state where you live give you and do not allow to be waived.

16. The rest

These Terms, with the policies they refer to, are the whole agreement between us about PureGlow. If a part of them cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a part is not giving it up. You may not transfer these Terms; we may, to whoever takes over PureGlow. Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control.
