What we collect, and why

Consumer health dataWhy, and how it is used
Photographs of your face, and the face detection that runs on your phone while you take them To score how your skin looks. Sent to Anthropic for scoring and not stored by us.
Scores for how your skin looks, such as breakouts, dryness, irritation and puffiness To build your program, adjust it at each check-in, and show your progress.
The sleep and water you log To tell a week that went nowhere apart from a product that does not work.
Which steps of your routine you ticked The same reason.
A record that you agreed to the face scan: which words you agreed to and when. No photograph and no score To show that you agreed before any photograph was scored.

Where it comes from

From you: the photographs you take and what you enter. And from Anthropic's AI, which produces the scores from your photographs.

What we share, and with whom

Photographs of your face are shared with Anthropic, PBC, only to score them. If you create an account, your scores, logs and ticks are stored with Cloudflare, Inc., which hosts our servers. Both act on our behalf and may use the data for nothing else. We have no affiliates, share consumer health data with no one else, and never sell it.

Your rights

You can confirm whether we hold your consumer health data and get a copy of it, with a list of everyone we have shared it with and how to contact them; delete it, in the app under Settings → Delete everything, or by writing to contact@purglows.com — except the record that you agreed, which we keep for five years after your last scan to answer any claim about it; and withdraw your consent at any time, by not scanning or by deleting everything. We answer within 45 days. If we turn a request down, you can appeal by replying with the word "Appeal", and if you are still not satisfied you can contact the Attorney General of Washington, or of your own state.
